On September 9–12, 2026, two powerful beams of light will rise into the night sky from the summit of Mount Washington, New England’s highest peak at 6,288 feet. The Honor Summit is a special 25th anniversary tribute to 9/11, honoring the veterans, firefighters, first responders, and others who have dedicated their lives to serving and protecting others. If the skies are clear this 9/11 tribute will be able to be seen in Boston and many parts of Maine. Credit for this goes to Jason Arrow who took this photo on Tuesday evening when the Honor Summit was being tested.

This is less than 20 minutes from The Loose Moose at Mt. Cranmore. In New Hampshire, the "Arctic Lights Night Snow Tubing" you'll find at the Cranmore Mountain Resort is one of the most memorable winter experiences in the state! When the sun goes down, the tubing hill lights up with bright, color-changing LED lights that shine across the lanes as music plays through the speakers. Each ride down feels fast, smooth, and full of energy as you glide over well-packed snow in North Conway. A magic carpet lift carries you back to the top, so you can keep tubing without having to walk uphill. Sessions run in simple two-hour blocks, giving you plenty of time for repeat rides. During the daytime, regular snow tubing offers the same wide lanes and steady snow, making it a great choice for families and groups. Riders ages 6 and older can tube on their own, while younger kids can share a tube with an adult. After tubing, you can walk over to the Mountain Adventure Park at Artist Falls Lodge and ride the Mountain Coaster, try the Soaring Eagle zip ride, or swing high on the Giant Swing, all in one spot!

Santa visits Schouler Park in North Conway Village for the season's first lighting of the town Christmas tree on Friday, November 28th. He will arrive around 4:30 PM, usher in the Christmas Spirit with a reading of 'Twas the Night Before Christmas, then herald the start of the Christmas season with a countdown to the magical tree lighting.
