🏡 Some home projects are a long time coming…
We’ve owned this property for about six years, and I have hated these brown fiberglass garage doors pretty much since day one. 😂 They still worked, so replacing them kept getting pushed down the list.
Well, their time has finally come! We’re replacing them with white insulated garage doors with windows, and it got me thinking about the home improvements that can give you the most bang for your buck.
As a REALTOR®, when I think about updates, I tend to look at a few things:

🔨 Does it improve the first impression of the home?
🏠 Does it replace something that feels dated, worn, or may catch a buyer’s attention?
💰 Is the cost reasonable compared with the improvement in function, appearance, or marketability?

That doesn’t always mean a big kitchen remodel or tearing apart a bathroom. Sometimes it’s the projects that seem fairly simple—fresh paint, updated lighting, landscaping, a better front entry, or exterior improvements—that can make a home feel noticeably different.

For us, it’s finally saying goodbye to the brown garage doors. 🙌 I’m pretty sure I’m going to wonder why we waited six years.
