🏡 HELP ME FIND A HOME FOR MY PARENTS 🏡

I’m reaching out to my friends, family, and community in hopes that someone may know of something that could help my parents.
After renting the same home for over 25 years, my parents have unexpectedly been served an eviction notice and have only 30 days to find somewhere else to live and move everything they’ve built a life around.
My parents are in their mid-60s and retired. They’re simple, hardworking, homebody-type people. They enjoy being at home, working in the yard, tending to their chickens and garden, and taking care of their animals. My mom has spent years growing flowers around their home, painting, and up keeping the property all on their own.
Ideally, we are looking for a small house with a little bit of yard where they can continue doing the things they love. They have 2 dogs and 1 cat, so it would need to be pet-friendly.
We are open to just about ANY possibility:
• Long-term rental
• Temporary housing while we find something permanent
• Rent-to-own / owner financing
• An older home that needs some TLC
• A vacant property
• An inherited property someone doesn’t want to maintain or deal with
• Something sitting empty that could use good people living in and caring for it
They are very handy and capable of doing repairs and fixing things up themselves if the property needs some work to make it livable. They aren’t looking for anything fancy — they just need a safe place they can call home.
Because they are retired and live on a fixed monthly income, their budget is very limited. Unfortunately, the $1,000+ monthly rents we are seeing simply aren’t possible for them. We desperately need to find something UNDER $500/month.
If you have an old house sitting vacant, inherited a property you aren’t sure what to do with, know someone with a small rental, or have ANY lead that might help us, PLEASE reach out to me.

I want to find my parents a place where they can feel safe, putter around their yard, plant their flowers, grow their garden, and enjoy their retirement together. 🏡🌻🐓
