Some closings are about a house. And some closings remind you just how special it is to call Bastrop home. 🤍
This story actually started years before there was ever a “For Sale” sign in the yard.
My sellers originally were referred to me through a fellow Realtor in town, who I’ve known since I was little, and even helped babysit for growing up.
I first had the privilege of helping these clients buy a home of their own.
Then came this special place.
They knew what it could be and got to work bringing it back to life. Along the way, they’d call me to bounce around remodel ideas, finishes, and decisions…What would buyers like? Is this worth doing? What would you do here?
Let me tell you, they knocked it out of the park!
We brought in a wonderful local stager, Style Co. Interiors, to help tell the story of the home and HD Media Partners showed buyers just how good life there could look. We prepared it carefully, priced it strategically, put it on the market…
…and the buyers came. 🤍
Multiple offers.
And ultimately, SOLD OVER ASKING! In a buyer’s market!
That would have been enough to make this one special.
But then there’s the other side of the story.
Because the young family buying the house?
I’ve known him since Mother’s Day Out.
Back when play dough and play time were the only things on our to do list.
And now here he is, with a family of his own and buying their next home in the same town where we grew up. Staying local and working to grow our community.
Somehow all these little threads came together in one house.
A referral from someone I’ve known most of my life.
Clients who first trusted me to help them buy, then trusted my advice through the final touches of a remodel and sell.
Local professionals helping us make the property shine.
A buyer I’ve known since we were kids, putting down roots with his own family.
That’s small-town real estate.
That’s Bastrop real estate.
It’s funny, we talk all day long about square footage and interest rates and comps and contracts. And those things matter.
But underneath all of it are people and their stories.
And every once in a while, you get a closing that reminds you that you’re not just selling houses in a community.
You’re getting to watch your town grow up. 🤍
Congratulations to my wonderful sellers and to the family who gets to call this one home.
This one was pretty special.
