es from New York City. She migrated to the then sleepy college town of Austin in the mid-1970s and loved Texas so much, she made it her permanent home. In the early 1990s, she discovered the town of Smithville, just 45 minutes east of Austin and fell in love with its relaxed character and charm. She soon purchased and lovingly restored a historical 1890 vintage home just blocks from Main Street and downtown. Linda had an early career as a hair stylist and later worked in the service and hospitality industry. When she discovered real estate in the 1980s, she embraced and excelled in this path due to her genuine ability to connect with people. She began her work as a real estate professional in Austin, Texas and initially worked in leasing and property management but soon moved on to sales, becoming a top producer for her brokers. For the past 20+ years, Linda worked primarily in the Bastrop area, but also for clients in Austin and the surrounding counties. With the onset of the housing crisis of 2008, she quickly adapted to working in the REO and bank foreclosure market. She is currently a sales and listing agent with Coldwell Banker Green-Mills & Associates in Bastrop and is available to help you with your real estate needs. Linda is an avid animal lover and is mom to several rescue dogs, including two Shih Tzus and two Yorkshire Terriers. She worked as a volunteer with the Smithville Animal Shelter prior to its closing and has welcomed several rescue dogs into her care, including a dog who desperately needed a forever home from the Caldwell County Paws in Prison program, rescued after being found abandoned at a roadside rest area. She is a natural caregiver and has also volunteered at the Smithville Community Clinic serving individuals in need as an intake technician. Linda's other interests include history, fine dining, wine, gardening, classic style and fashion, art and architecture, pop culture, country and western music, interior design and antiquing, which is what originally drew her to her home in Smithville. She very much looks forward to the amazing antique festivals in nearby Round Top and Warrenton which are held twice per year in the Spring and Fall.
