Feeling thankful.

Last night was an incredible honor. I was nominated and selected as the Educator of the Year by the . It was a great event that recognized various selfless organizations and people in our community and I couldn’t be prouder to stand alongside them.

God has moved mountains in my life and I am amazed at the work that he keeps doing. I owe all the glory to him in this award. This award is also not possible without the love and support of my family. They are my world and my why. Also, without the investments in our students by our community partners and without the incredible work the rest of the faculty at this award would not have happened. They believe in me and support me always.

My heart is full and I feel grateful. This is an award that I had seen great educators in the past receive, but never thought of for myself. This community is filled with fantastic educators that are constantly pouring into their students and the recognition of that is much appreciated.

Thank you to everyone that played a part in helping me become the educator that I am and continue to develop into.

It’s been a little while since I’ve posted, and for good reason; life has been busy in the best way.

Our family recently sold our home, purchased a new one, and have been navigating the move and getting settled into a new space. Add in cold weather, snow, and last-minute school schedule changes, and it’s been a season of flexibility and adaptation.

While things have been busy personally, I’ve been keeping a close eye on the local housing market. Here in southeast Indiana, we’re seeing the market slow just a bit, which is creating more options at a variety of price points. Whether you’re looking to downsize, purchase your first starter home, upgrade to a larger family home, or find acreage and space, there truly are opportunities available right now.

Interest rates had also been slowly trending downward, which may make this a good time to at least explore your options. If you’ve been thinking about buying, or even just wondering if now is the right time, I’d love the opportunity to have a conversation and help you figure that out.

You never know… that perfect house could be sitting there, just waiting to become your home.
