Maintenance Technician

Bath Housing is seeking a Maintenance Technician. This position is a great opportunity for the right person to make a difference with both our organization and our residents. The Technician will provide general maintenance services for buildings and grounds of an assigned portfolio of residential properties in Bath. This includes performing routine, emergency, and preventative maintenance services. This position is typically a Monday through Friday daytime position but does include rotating on-call responsibilities covering after hours and weekends.

Today is the day! Ouellet Construction began site work at 80 Congress Avenue, the new home of Anchorage South.

Demolition of Bath Housing's old office took place this morning to make way for this new project. When complete (early 2028), the residents of the Anchorage will have new -- gorgeous, efficient, sustainable -- homes. Thank you to the Anchorage residents for their on-going input, patience, and support over the past two years.

Thank you to Ouellet Construction and Ryan Senatore Architecture for being by our side through this long process. It's so exciting to be starting! And thank you to Habitat for Humanity 7 Rivers Maine for working with us on "deconstruction" to ensure we diverted every bit we could from the landfill.

Bath Housing congratulates City of Bath City Manager Marc Meyers who recently received the Maine Town, City and County Management Association's Leadership Award for his collaborative work tackling housing.

Marc and City Staff have been amazing partners in getting some innovative and exciting housing efforts off the ground in the past few years and this recognition is well-deserved!

Marc was recently awarded the Maine Town, City and County Management Association's Leadership Award for his bold, collaborative work tackling one of Maine's toughest challenges: housing.

✅ Secured $15M+ in grant funding for housing & infrastructure
✅ Modernized land use regulations
✅ 200+ housing units
✅ Transformation of the Congress Avenue corridor with partners like Bath Housing and Bath Iron Works

This award is presented by the MTCMA to recognize a public administrator for a particularly bold and innovative project or for solving an unusually difficult problem and Marc's work has made Bath a model for communities across Maine facing similar housing challenges.

👉 MaineDOT is planning a reconfiguration of the Route 1 & State Road intersection! A formal on-demand public meeting is now available. Explore the proposed project and share your feedback (deadline August 28).

😮‍💨 Yes, another road under construction, but deep breaths everyone! Construction isn't proposed to start until late 2027 and the end result will be a safer on-ramp configuration and a new sidewalk.

Congratulations to the Gleaners, Merrymeeting Food Council, and Mid Coast Hunger Prevention Program on the 10th anniversary of the Merrymeeting Gleaners. We loved being part of the celebration this week.

Bath Housing is just one of 30 organizations that benefit from the work of the Gleaners, who partner with local farms and farmers markets to harvest or pick up excess crops. This gives Bath Housing residents access to fresh and local fruits and vegetables -- which are so appreciated!

One of our RSC team's favorite programs is our onsite food pantries, located at Dike's Landing, The Moorings, Anchorage, and Seacliff.

From January through May, an incredible 10,060 pounds of food was delivered to these pantries, highlighting just how important they are in helping ensure our residents have access to nutritious food close to home.

We are incredibly grateful for our partnership with the Mid Coast Hunger Prevention Program. Their continued support makes this valuable resource possible and helps strengthen our community every day. Thank you for helping us make a meaningful difference in the lives of our residents!
