The secret? The right houseplants. And honestly, they're easier to keep alive than most people think.

Here's what we tell every homeowner heading into fall:
🪴 Pothos — trails beautifully on a shelf, survives low light, and bounces back even if you forget to water it. It's the ultimate beginner plant.
🪴 Snake Plant — tall, modern, and practically thrives on neglect. Water it only when the soil is bone dry.
🪴 ZZ Plant — shiny, polished, and stores water in its roots. It can go weeks without attention and still look incredible.

A few things to keep in mind as the season shifts:
✔️ Bring outdoor plants inside before nights drop below 55°F
✔️ Cut back on watering — overwatering is the #1 houseplant killer in winter
✔️ Watch your light — the sun sits lower in fall, so a sunny spot in June may be dim by October

And here's the styling tip that makes the biggest difference: group plants in threes. One tall, one bushy, one trailing. It looks intentional every single time.
