11/11/2021
Veterans Day is derived from a holiday proclaimed at the end of World War I, a war to end all wars. On the eleventh month on the 11th day at the eleventh hour the worst war that the world had known at the time was ended. It had seen bloodshed and devastation that none had ever seen before.
Today, It is a day to give thanks to all Veterans, past and present, for bravely doing what they were called to do and the sacrifices they made for US (which we often so easily forget)…..during war, peace, and everything in the middle. I’m my opinion, our Veterans should be celebrated everyday. Some of us will never truly understand what these men and women give and how it affects them for life.
This may sound corny, but it’s true. The big giant flag at Robinson’s Brothers is on my way to work. I’m so glad it’s there. When I’m sitting at the light and the wind is blowing just right, the beautiful red, white, and blue reminds me to not take our freedom for granted. Think about it next time you pass.
I would like to encourage you to thank our Vets when you pass them in uniform. Thank the older Veterans that so proudly TO THIS DAY wear their caps or jackets. Thank the souls who gave all. They did it for us. Many I know would do it again.
To our men and women in uniform, past, present, and future, thank you from the bottom of my heart. Let us never forget your bravery and sacrifices.
Almost all of these photos are of my family, friends, neighbors, and coworkers. God bless you all.
