Tomorrow, the Cascade Canyon Winter Train begins passenger service for the 2021/2022 season! This unforgettable excursion departs from the Durango Depot and whisks passengers to and from Cascade Canyon offering magnificent views of the Animas River and, once snow starts to fly on a more regular basis, snow-clad peaks. Spanning 26-miles each way, this 5.25 hour round trip experience is offered on select dates from mid-November through early May.

There are new ways to experience the ! For the summer and fall season ahead, we’re excited to introduce the Skyway Tour that combines a one-way Silverton Steam or Diesel excursion with a one-way luxury bus tour traveling across the legendary San Juan Skyway. This combination package is available in either “train up/bus return”, or “bus up/train return”, allowing for added flexibility within a shorter time frame that’s perfect for passengers with an already busy travel itinerary.
