Unfortunately, our NY politicians don't really want to create affordable housing but want to reduce the amount of units available for rent. Interest rates are not something within anyones control but certainly common sense policies could lead to many more units available for rent. Not only are there less affordable units, but the free market units are paying the price as well.

Values of older office buildings and rent-stabilized properties are circling the drain. How will they come out at the other end?
