The answer is . . . it depends . . .

When house prices go down, interest rates go up. Conversely, when house prices go up, interest rates go down. Neither approach is necessarily better than the other.

However, you can always refinance for a lower interest rate. You cannot change the price you bought the house for.

Consider your goals. Talk to your real estate agent, and then make a plan for getting into the home of your dreams so you can write the best story you want!
