Record research is one thing we don’t cut corners on! 💪 Before we ever let our boots touch grass or mud in the field, we perform preliminary review of records while preparing any estimate. Once a project is underway, we take a much deeper dive into the subject property, adjoining tracts, historical conveyances, right of way information, and surrounding evidence. 📜

Thorough research helps our field crew accomplish extensive monument recovery and allows us to properly analyze and piece together even the trickiest boundary situations. We perform all research in house. Even when documents or records are provided by clients, neighbors, or title companies, you can rest assured knowing we review every document ourselves.

Searching Saturday... 👀 because sometimes the monument is there… you just haven’t dug deep enough. At Chambers Surveying and Mapping⁠ we don’t cut corners when it comes to boundary evidence. When the record descriptions call for monuments and the surrounding evidence lines up, sometimes you have to keep digging.

In this case, our field crew put in the work and successfully recovered an iron pipe monument buried well below the surface. One crew member even became a pretty good reference point for just how deep “deep enough” can be. 😂 Thank you, Chase!

So no better time to shine the spotlight on our very own Registered Professional Land Surveyor, Joseph, or better known as “Joey.”

Joey has been in the land surveying industry since his early 20s, building a life long career rooted in experience, precision, and hard work. He started out as a draftsman and worked his way through every aspect of the profession, giving him a well-rounded understanding of both fieldwork and office operations.

He's the drafting wizard the office and unmatched in his drafting skills, speed, and accuracy. Numbers come naturally to him, and he has a great ability to solve complex calculations, navigate challenging deed research, and piece together even the toughest boundary puzzles with confidence.

But what truly sets Joey apart is his integrity. He leads by example, holds a high standard for himself and our team, and doesn't cut corners. His commitment to doing things the right way reflects the responsibility we carry as surveyors—to serve the public and protect land boundaries and improvements.
