"Can you do it Cheaper?!" ..."I see this part online, for much less" ..."If I go to buy it, can you put it in?" These are common phrases as a small business we tend to hear often, year after year and going into our 28th year in business the simple answer we've learned to say is simply..."No".
Many say that the main reason to be in business is to make money, sure, but it's ultimately to solve problems and provide goods and services to the community. To be able to provide a reputable, quality and dependable service takes years, and years of self investment and time to get to a certain degree of success, but it never stops. It's certainly not cheap to operate a business with overhead such as employees, insurances, vehicles, licensing, fuel, inventory, so on and so on...
Searching Online for products are fictitious expectations and most importantly who will install it, or warranty it? Normally, in our situation its emergency based and not 4- 6 week availability. Thats why we invest to ensure we have our warehouse stocked for these moments of need. Any business doesn't survive on just their labor alone. I dont think anyone would bring their own steak to ask the restaurant to have them make it for you, right? If you would, then simply you're not the customer for us and that's ok!
Take this tank for an example, this is was a store bought tank that was installed by a "handy or plumber-ish person" that was only two years old and had prematurely failed. No Warranty, no person to call back...history...gone! Any tank we install always has our sticker to call with any issue or concern, but most importantly a Warranty! We supply and install manufacturers that we feel are the best in our industry and have you covered when the unexpected happen when they shouldn't, which ultimately ends up saving you. As much as we love our customers, take no offense of us saying we don't like seeing you often, professionally speaking! We will never promote ourselves as cheap, because we dont do cheap work. Also, trust us in saying that we are certainly not the most expensive either. Our brand and reputation has been built on delivering products, service and dependability that a situation like this would have cost the homeowner significantly less if it was a product we installed. So before being "sticker shocked" try to think of the overall value that is maybe going into that price, fractionally at best too.
With that said, we know we will still get these questions and concerns, and thats fine, but our answer still remains the same. As always, we hope that our value lets us service your home and welcome you to the Griffen Family!
