Post Dorian Update:
We are still waiting for power to be restored. Scott and volunteers have been assessing the property to the best if their abilities. Pro Environmental will be onsite to mitigate any water intrusion following power restoration. TAD Recovery Services will be onsite to inspect the exterior of the facility and make necessary temporary repairs to prevent further damages. Carteret County is under a curfew through this evening.
We will continue to keep you posted.
We hope that all of our owners and residents are safe and fared well through the storm.

A mandatory evacuation has been issued for Beaufort, please heed the warnings! It was 8 days before power was restored after Florence, supplies and resources will be extremely limited. Stay safe OTYC Family!!

BEAUFORT — Town of Beaufort officials have ordered a mandatory evacuation for all town residents.

I received this picture of the OTYC marina docks after Hurricane Florence. This is unbelievable. We WILL rebuild our marina and make it better than it was before this storm.

Dear OTYC DOA Members,

I hope everyone of you and your family members were safe through Hurricane Florence. I am sure by now you have seen the pictures Paula posted of the damage done to our marina Sometimes Mother Nature is not kind but as long as everyone got through the storm without physical injury we can deal with the destruction of property.
I am sure we WILL have our marina back as good or even better than it was before Florence roared through. Over the next few days the Management company will contact our insurance company to have them come and assess the damage. As soon as the insurance company completes the assessment we will begin the clean up and get quotes for rebuilding the Marina. You need to know this may be a long process. Please do not remove or clean anything until the insurance company comes by to do their job. Also, the management team and on site staff will be very busy during the next couple of weeks. If you call and do not get a response right way please be patient they will get back to you.

I want to thank Paula and her staff for doing a great job getting OTYC prepared for the storm. As I said please be patient during this difficult time. OTYC Marina will be rebuilt.

I know we will all be happy to see the temperatures come back into the 50's and 60's this week, but here are a few more pictures of OTYC in the snow. Thank you for sharing Steve Grogan!
