Jeff & Brenda are the dad and mom of the second generation. Jeff has lived and worked in the business since birth and handles all maintenance, improvement, and repair responsibilities. He has handled everything with his father from a young age and knows how the ditches need to be dug to provide the best stormwater management to location of drainfields and how to replace them. In short there is nothing in the business that Jeff doesn't know how to do or how to get it done. Brenda, Jeff's wife, makes sure all things are taken care of within the office and rental properties. If there is anything that needs to be done she makes sure it gets priortized and delegated to be completed in the quickest manner! Since first coming into the business, Brenda set the cleaning expectation to the maximum and requires our cleaning team to pull out all appliances to clean behind them and make sure any grit, grime or grease is completely removed from all surfaces. The more commonly overlooked cleaning areas like window frames are made sure to be free from all dirt by our cleaning team! Brenda works in the office and handles all managerial duties. The third generation of the business is Jeff & Brenda's children, David and Jennifer. David, Jennifer's husband, Erik and his brother, Todd is our maintenance team and assists in any and all functions of the repair and upkeep of property. They make sure the yards are mowed, weed-eated and homes are power washed. They also are head renovators, in charge of removing and installing walls, cabinets, counters, flooring, etc. They are responsible for making sure the home looks brand new before a person moves in and remodels them and does new full paint throughout the home. Jennifer is the office administrator and assists in renting, showing, and collecting payments. With an Associate degree as a Paralegal and Bachelor degree in Business and Human Services, she is able to work with an interdisciplinary mindset to help when you need it. Through referrals to human service agencies, she can assist the neighbor in obtaining rent assistance, when needed also. Sheri has been the head cleaner for many years and is assisted by her daughter, Ashley. They are the cleaning crew responsible for the homes being in such pristine, clean condition to be ready before a new tenant occupies the residence. The standards of cleaning are exceptionally high with every appliance being pulled out and every nook and crevice without a speck of dust! We are a family business and every person is able to help!

FREEZE WARNING NOTICE
Wednesday morning, December 2nd temperatures are forecast to bottom-out in the lower 30s Wednesday morning. A light breeze will knock wind chills down into the lower 20s. When the weather is very cold outside, let the cold water drip from the faucet served by exposed pipes. Running water through the pipe - even at a trickle - helps prevent pipes from freezing. Remove, drain, and store hoses used outdoors. Close inside valves supplying outdoor hose bibs. Open the outside hose bibs to allow water to drain. Keep the outside valve open so that any water remaining in the pipe can expand without causing the pipe to break. If you will be going away during cold weather, leave the heat on in your home, set to a temperature no lower than 55° F. If you turn on a faucet and only a trickle comes out, suspect a frozen pipe. Keep the faucet open. As you treat the frozen pipe and the frozen area begins to melt, water will begin to flow through the frozen area. Running water through the pipe will help melt ice in the pipe. Please stay home until the water flows fully through the lines to ensure the pipes do not burst and flood the home and make sure there are no obstructions that would flood the home through not being able to drain when the water does thaw and flow. Call 843-525-0913 to report any flooding or busted water lines immediately. Thank you and stay warm :-)

• To apply online, visit SCMAPP.sc.gov.
• To submit an application or renewal via fax, send to (803) 734-2012.
• If you need an application or a renewal form mailed to you, please call 1-800-616-1309.

APPLY FOR UNEMPLOYMENT BENEFITS

Your first step is to submit an initial claim in order for DEW to determine if your circumstances meet the eligibility requirements of the UI program. Filing a claim is the only way for eligibility to be determined.

Initial claims are filed online through the MyBenefits portal. https://scuihub.dew.sc.gov/
• Once you have submitted your application, DEW will review your claim and determine if you qualify for benefits.
• Within a week after applying, you will receive a Monetary Determination by mail outlining your potential weekly and maximum benefits amounts. The maximum weekly benefit amount in South Carolina is $326 before taxes. A Monetary Determination only outlines your monetary eligibility, and does not mean that you meet all eligibility requirements.
• You may be asked to submit certain types of information to DEW in order to determine if you are eligible to receive benefits. This can be competed through the upload feature in the benefits portal, faxed or emailed. For more information on how to do this, please contact 1-866-831-1724.
• You should receive a final eligibility decision by mail within 21 days of receiving the Monetary Determination. If you are deemed eligible, please note that you will not be paid for the first week of eligibility in each benefit year; this is considered a waiting week.
• You may check your benefit status via MyBenefits or TelClaim.
• When applying for benefits, you will choose to receive benefit payments by debit card or direct deposit. For more information, please visit our payment page. Please note that you are required to pay taxes on UI benefits.

The information you provide DEW when filing a claim for UI is held confidential but may be shared with other state and/or federal agencies administering unemployment insurance programs or other government programs.
