📖 There are several types of relationships that can exist during a real estate transaction. One of them is known as dual agency, and it’s important to understand what it means.
❓What is dual agency?
💬 Dual agency is a real estate arrangement where one agent, or two agents from the same brokerage, represent both the buyer and the seller in the same transaction. The buyer and seller are typically informed of the arrangement and must agree to it before moving forward.
❓Why is it important?
💬 Dual agency is important because it allows one agent or brokerage to help facilitate communication and manage the transaction for both the buyer and seller. Since the agent is working with both parties, they must remain neutral and treat each side fairly throughout the process while following all applicable laws and regulations.
