100% agree with Stephanie, we live in a crazy world at times!!
“When I ask for your pre-approval letter, it’s not about being pushy. It’s a standard safety practice. It tells me you’re a legitimate buyer, not someone using a fake identity to gain access to private homes, or to get me alone.
When I ask for your driver’s license, it’s simply to confirm that the person I’m meeting is truly who they say they are. REALTORS® often meet new clients alone, in vacant homes, or in unfamiliar areas — verifying identity is a key part of staying safe.
A few important safety precautions I follow:
• I verify every new client before meeting in person.
• I keep a record of who I’m showing homes to for my safety and the sellers’.
• I communicate my showing schedule with my broker or a trusted contact.
• I avoid meeting anyone whose identity or intentions can’t be confirmed.
These steps aren’t meant to create obstacles — they’re meant to protect me, protect homeowners, and ensure everyone involved in a showing is safe and accounted for.
Your understanding means more than you know. 🖤”
