Fall is the season that finally gives you permission to go bold. 🤩

The lighter, breezier aesthetic of summer starts to give way to something richer. Deeper tones. Warmer textures. Spaces that feel like they were designed to stay in.

September is the perfect time to start dreaming about a space that finally matches the season. What room in your home needs a fall refresh? 🍂

The well blew 100,000 barrels a day and ran wild for nine days.

Nobody in 1901 owned equipment that could cap it. Oil rained down over Beaumont until the crew finally choked it off. The town went from about 10,000 people to 50,000 within months, and so much crude hit the market that a barrel briefly sold for three cents. 🛢

Did they ever teach you this one in school?

Here are a few reminders as our Solid Waste crews work to collect heavy trash and storm debris throughout Beaumont.

• Limbs and branches should be no longer than 8 feet.

• Tree trunks larger than 12 inches in diameter should be cut into sections no longer than 2 feet.

• Place debris at the curb, but keep it away from mailboxes, fire hydrants, gas meters, utility poles and other obstructions.

• Watch for overhead power lines and do not place debris under trees.

• Keep debris out of roadways and drainage areas.

There’s a lot to pick up following Tropical Storm Edouard, so collection may take a little longer than usual.

Thank you for helping our crews get the job done safely and for your patience as cleanup continues across Beaumont.
