🚨Real Estate- Scam Awareness
Recently, multiple agents, including me, have been receiving scam emails about properties, even ones that are withdrawn. One of these messages targeted my listing and has been repeatedly trying to convince me and others that they are the owners.
For Clarity: I am working directly with the verified owners of the property and have their confirmed phone numbers and email addresses.
Scammers often refuse to speak by phone, will not provide ID (drivers license etc), and may become aggressive when questioned. This is a common tactic used to pressure someone into responding. Scammers will flip the script, accuse you of being the scammer, and keep pushing until someone engages.
What to do:
✔️Do NOT engage.
✔️Contact the agent directly using the number on their brokerage website.
✔️Report the email as phishing and block the sender.
✔️Stay alert and protect yourself — and when in doubt, reach out to the agent first.

One of the reasons a property may not be active but still has a sign in front of it and can still be found on the intranet is likely because it has been WITHDRAWN. This means the seller has paused the listing for personal or logistical reasons. It is temporarily off the market, still under contract and is working out those next steps.
I am always willing to talk with anyone, answer questions, and help educate consumers about how to safely navigate real estate communication. If someone cannot verify who they are or refuses a simple phone call, that’s a red flag.
Stay alert fellow realtors and friends!
