Want to do something to celebrate it, maybe a trip to the coast... 🐋 Celebrate by taking part in Spring Whale Watch Week!! 🐋

The Oregon Coast is along the peak northbound migration of as many as 20,000 whales that travel to Alaska each spring. Volunteers staff more than 15 popular whale-spotting locations to help visitors get a glimpse of whales just offshore. Popular spots to see them include Cape Foulweather, Devil’s Punchbowl, and Cape Perpetua.

Holi - the festival of colors! Join THPRD & Chinmaya Mission Portland as we present this annual event held this year at a NEW location - Harvest Park.

This celebration is undoubtedly the most fun-filled and boisterous of Hindu festivals. It's an occasion that brings out the child in you, no matter how old you are, joy and mirth, fun and play, music and dance, and of course lots of bright organic colors.

Join us on March 14 for our free family fishing event at Commonwealth Park Lake! Commonwealth Park is located at at 1095 SW Huntington Ave, Portland, OR 97225.

This is an open fishing opportunity where participants will receive guidance from community mentors in the art of fishing.

FISHING GEAR PROVIDED WITH REGISTRATION!

Registration is required ONLY for participants who need to borrow fishing equipment. Each family member who needs equipment should be registered individually. Participants are also welcome to attend using their own gear without registering. Youth 17 and younger may fish for free. Anyone age 18 or older must have a valid fishing license if they plan to fish.

Friends of Tualatin Hills Nature Park and THPRD are teaming up with Sparrowhawk Native Plants to bring another fall native plant sale to Beaverton! Together, we’re offering over 100 species of habitat-friendly native plants while raising money for the Tualatin Hills Nature Park!

SAVE THE DATE - online ordering begins Sunday, March 1! Plant orders will be available for pick-up at Tualatin Hills Nature Park (15655 SW Millikan Way) on Fri, May 1 and Sat May 2, perfectly timed for your fall planting.

How it Works:

Be sure to browse the website in advance to build your wishlist. Preordering is required and popular species may sell out quickly. Please note that there is a $30 order minimum.
Select from more than 100 species of premium-quality native plants. These climate-resilient plants will enhance your garden, allowing it to best support pollinators and wildlife.
