✨I’m probably going to say something controversial... 😲
✅ I’m NOT going to tell you to spend $40,000
remodeling your kitchen before listing your house.
Because the truth is... a lot of sellers spend all this money updating their home and never fully get it back.
✨You might love your kitchen renovation... but your buyer may walk in wanting something completely different.
✨Instead, focus on the updates that make buyers FEEL like the home is clean, cared for, and move-in ready without draining your bank account.
✔️Deep clean + declutter
✔️Pack up a good portion of your stuff before
listing.
💁♀️Clear the countertops, empty out closets, and make the home feel open and spacious.
✨Buyers decide how they feel about a house
FAST.
1. Neutral paint
Bold colors make buyers start mentally calculating what they’ll need to repaint. Neutral walls photograph better and instantly make the home feel fresher.
2. Update the little things
Paint the front door. Change outdated house numbers. Swap old light fixtures (yes... the b**b lights have to go fo). These small changes make a HUGE difference.
3. Pressure wash EVERYTHING
Driveway, patio, walkway, siding... you’d be shocked how much newer a house looks after a good power wash.
4. Don’t forget curb appeal
Trim the landscaping, wash the windows, and clean out the garage. Buyers absolutely notice these things.
✨The goal isn’t making your house look like a brand-new HGTV remodel.
The goal is making buyers walk in and think:
“This feels clean, cared for, and easy to move into.”
That’s what gets stronger offers.
What would you do to your house to make $20,000?
