We found beautiful old crocks, vintage comic books, jewelry, and some remarkable pieces of local history—including three Clinchfield Railroad lanterns and a rare copy of Historic Homes of the Southwest Mountains of Virginia.
Nostalgia is also on the auction block. Who remembers running to school with a metal lunchbox? We uncovered a 1970s Emergency! TV show lunchbox that is an absolute collector's dream.

At Entrusted Auctions/Farmer Auctions, our daily work revolves around history. We look at objects, estates, and heirlooms, and we tell the stories of the people and moments that shaped them. But today, we are pausing to honor a monumental chapter in our nation's collective history.
In observance of Juneteenth, our offices are closed today, Friday, June 19th.
Juneteenth marks the day in 1865 when freedom finally reached the last enslaved African Americans in Galveston, Texas—more than two years after the Emancipation Proclamation was signed. It is a day that reminds us that progress takes time, that freedom is meant to be shared by all, and that history is a living narrative we must all remember and respect.
We believe that understanding where we have been is essential to building a stronger, more connected community today. We look forward to reopening on Monday and continuing to serve you.

We wish all of our neighbors, clients, and friends a meaningful, reflective, and joyful Juneteenth.
