There’s a really big benefit to price appreciation.

There’s been a media storm of speculation about where skyrocketing home price appreciation has the real estate market headed. Naturally, both buyers and sellers are wary of making a move in such a hot market. But, as home values continue to rise, so does one of the most important pieces of the homeownership puzzle – equity.

Experts are predicting a steady influx of appreciation over the next 5 years.

šŸ˜ The Federal Reserve met this week and are now expecting to make two increases to the Federal Funds Rate by the end of 2023.

What does that mean for mortgage rates?

While mortgage rates are not directly impacted by the Federal Funds Rate, they typically fluctuate based on the economy and inflation. The Fed's confidence in the economy, the healing labor market, and rising inflation are likely to result in increased mortgage rates.

This doesn't mean to panic: Mortgage rates will likely rise at a gradual pace, but it's time to get prepared. The best place is to start talking with a mortgage lender and seeing what you can do to be prepared to purchase a home. I would love to chat about options and give you some referrals! I'm always available to chat!

I had the pleasure of meeting James several years ago during our Summer Volleyball and Softball adventures, while we were still "young"! I was so honored when he reached out for assistance in buying his first home!

I'm sure most of you have experienced, heard stories, or read about this CRAZY market right now, but with James' purchasing his first home through his VA Benefits it was definitely a fun challenge! We toured several homes, put in multiple offers, but never got defeated! James was a quick learner on becoming a market expert and he never needed any hand holding at all! Not only did he do a ton of his own research, but he thoroughly communicated with me and his amazing Lender, Blake, with USAA to help make this a successful transaction. We had several "bumps" along the way, but managed to overcome and close on time! This was a wonderful experience, Cheers to your new adventure and best in life and continued happiness as you continue to grow your future!

Huge shout out to Chris Sullivan and Stephanie Lynn Shearin Alamo Title / The Law Office of Christopher J. Sullivan, PLLC for the great transaction and smooth closing!

It truly matters who you work with!
