Free Skiing for ALL Moms on Mother’s Day at Black Mountain; a note from our GM:

Dear Ski Moms,

Thank you for buying us one-piece snow suits, ski swap gear, and our lift tickets. And thank you for buying most of it again when we quickly outgrew, lost, or forgot the stuff you just bought us. Thank you for putting us in ski school, even though Dad said he could teach us for free. Thank you for picking us up early from ski school, the end-of-the-day laps with just us will always be the best runs of the day.

Thank you for making sure we always had breakfast early enough to get a good parking spot. Thank you for reminding us to eat lunch. Thank you for always having snacks in your pocket so we could eat on the lift and keep charging. Thank you for teaching us to pizza when all we wanted were french fries. Thank you for telling us to turn. Thank you for picking us up when we did not turn. Thank you for making us ski tree runs so that we were forced to turn. Thank you for the hugs in the lodge, on the lift, and in the car on the way home. Thank you for being the best part of skiing.

A White Mountain landmark changes hands
Roche Realty Group represents buyer of a historic estate in Bethlehem

BETHLEHEM — Roche Realty Group has announced the successful closing of a significant legacy-property transaction in Bethlehem, with the purchase of the historic Adair Estate at 80 Guider Lane. The property closed on Feb. 20 for $2.15 million. Roche Realty Group agents Denise Morrison and Chris Roche represented the buyer, and the property was listed by Keegan Rice of Badger Peabody & Smith Realty.
Built in 1927, the three-story Georgian Revival residence began as a private family estate and later evolved into a renowned country inn, an arc that has made Adair part of the White Mountains’ hospitality story for decades. The property's historical documentation states it was built by Attorney Frank J. Hogan as a wedding gift for his daughter Dorothy Adair and her husband. Set on 182 acres with sweeping mountain views and grounds long associated with classic New England estate design, the property pairs a strong sense of history with a scale that has become increasingly rare in today’s market.
The main residence offers approximately 9,255 square feet of finished living area and includes 14 bedrooms and 16 bathrooms. Interior features include a full commercial-grade kitchen supporting a gracious dining space and expansive common areas, along with the lower level’s signature “Granite Room,” a stone-and-granite gathering space with a fireplace that evokes the speakeasies of a bygone era. A separate three-bedroom guest cottage, additional outbuildings, and an extensive trail network further enhance the property’s retreat-style appeal. The property is in close proximity to Cannon Mountain and Bretton Woods Ski Area.
