High school and college students are invited to attend the Igniting the Dream of Medicine Conference on Saturday, Feb. 21. The deadline to register is Feb. 6. Registration must be completed prior to the event as no on-site registration will be available.

This is an annual in-person conference that hopes to inspire our next generation of healthcare leaders and give those with potential, a pathway to their future.

High school students will get first-hand information from health care providers in pharmacy, dentistry, allied health, medicine; hear directly from our undergraduate college admissions and financial services; and attend three hands-on workshops and meet students, faculty and exhibitors with resources and information.

College students will receive direct information from the medical school admissions on MCAT preparation; advice from experts on networking and contingency planning; and attend hands-on workshops and meet students, faculty and exhibitors.

Each February, Teen Dating Violence Awareness Month ( ) brings attention to dating violence to help stop dating abuse before it starts. This year’s theme focuses on what healthy relationships look like, and that respect is not negotiable.

This month, we’ll also be sharing tips for teens from The National Network to End Domestic Violence (NNEDV)'s “Swipe safely: A digital dating guide” on safely navigating dating apps.
