With the Apple Festival just a few weeks away, we are working hard to ensure everything is ready to go for another great year! To all our vendors who are still waiting for their booth assignment, please keep an eye on your email and be sure to check your spam folder for your vendor information packets. All assignments should be sent out by September 15th but please allow a day or two for special circumstances. 🍇 Vineyard Update 🍇

With a projected 5-6” of rain forecasted for our site, we made the challenging decision to hold off on picking the Pinot Grigio before the storms. We typically pick Pinot the 3rd week of august, but the abnormally dry and hot weather has it developing quicker than normal. Lots of factors have made this so, but our Pinot, despite having great color, retaining acid and great sugar accumulation, the flavors are still very veg heavy and seed tannins are lacking. We will likely lose some crop due to the rain, but the remaining crop will certainly benefit from more time on the vine. Grapes don’t continue development once harvested, unlike bananas and peaches. Once you commit to harvesting, that’s it.

For now, we wait for the passing rain and hope for dry weather in the weeks to come 🌞
