Good Morning everyone...As most of you know I have been an agent at Schupp Real Estate since my career began in this industry in 2011. I have made wonderful friends and business connections through these last 14 years under my former broker, also my friend. As life changes, needs and wants change as well. I have made the decision to switch to Village Realty in my home town of Beecher, IL to be part of a wonderful TEAM of agents both seasoned and new to this crazy life. INDUSTRY CHANGE 📣

Attention all Indiana homebuyers and potential buyers……

As of July 1st, 2024, a licensed Indiana Realtor CAN NOT show you a home unless you have signed an agreement with them. This goes in to affect NATIONWIDE in August. This will be non negotiable for any real estate agent.

The agreement that needs to be signed prior to viewing a property is called a “Buyer's Exclusive Agency Contract” aka buyer representation agreement. This new requirement is to provide transparency in real estate transactions, which is a GOOD THING! 🙌🏼 It states how the licensed agent whom you are hiring will be compensated for representing you.

A buyer does not get to bypass this new process if they just “call the listing agent directly” 🙃 You will be asked to sign a buyer representation agreement then as that realtor will be representing both sides of the transaction.

The world of real estate will still go on, we’re just creating more transparency and a paper trail with this new change!
