Born in Eutaw, Alabama, I was raised in Boston, Massachusetts. I attended Suffolk University Law School and earned a dual degree in Criminal Justice and Sociology, then continued my education to earn a master’s in public administration and Juris Doctor in law. For the past 10+ years I have resided in the Baltimore area with my family and am very familiar with the area. Before becoming a licensed REALTOR®, I worked in the affordable housing field for over 20 years. Working as a director of the Homeownership Preservation Foundation and while working with the National Community Reinvestment Coalition, I helped individuals find homes, helped keep homeowners in their homes, and help save the homes of thousands of individuals. My previous work experience has taught me the value of communication and the importance of calling someone back within 24 hours. Being able to empathize with individuals and having the ability to relate on a personal level while listening to their wants and needs gives me a unique approach, and my previous clients would describe me as professional, passionate, and patient. My goal is to build a strong foundation for a lasting relationship with each of my clients that extends long after the closing papers have been signed. Having purchased my first home as a single mother with two boys while in law school, I later owned three other properties and have the knowledge and experience to help investors as well as first-time and repeat homebuyers. I entered the real estate arena in order to educate individuals on the complexities of real estate and help them realize the dream of home ownership. My work as a lawyer, contract negotiator, homeownership director, underwriter, processor, and mortgage consultant have given me a wide latitude to manage real estate transactions efficiently and effectively for my clients. Dedication and determination to get the job done are at the very essence of what I do, and I am passionate about helping my clients develop a home strategy and realize their real estate vision and making it a reality. Married over 20 years with two boys and two grandkids, I also enjoy spending time with my family when I am not busy helping my clients buy and sell real estate. I have served as president of the HOA for my investment property, president of the sub-committee of HUD’s Office of Housing Counseling and served on the hospitality team at my church. I have taught STEM in after-school program (pre-COVID) and now enjoy teaching English to students in China, which is very rewarding. I love cooking, watching football and basketball, and watching movies. Early in my career I worked for the airlines as a flight attendant for over 20 years and enjoyed traveling the world, and met Charles Barkley, Michael Jordan, Muhammed Ali, Sinbad, Shaq, and several other noteworthy people.
