Congratulations to my dear Seller!!! Her home quickly went under contract because of all the work that she did to get it prepared for sale. New carpet, new paint made it a great place for this first time homebuyer to land. Sometimes selling can be bittersweet. Even with some bumps towards the end, I know my seller is grateful to be able to turn to the next chapter, and I am deeply honored to have helped.

Havre de Grace amended the zoning of the former Harford Memorial Hospital to allow for a project turning the downtown site into cottages for seniors.

An ordinance enacted last week by Mayor Bill Martin adjusts zoning to allow for Silver Housing Communities, made up of single-family detached homes designed to provide “high-quality,” senior-specific housing compatible with Havre de Grace’s historic scale and natural setting communities.

These homes include at least one “accessible” or “universal design” entrance, wider hallways, wider doorways, minimal steps and elevated surfaces.
