Living in Maine is the closest thing to time travel you can legally buy.

Coastal Maine towns still run on hand-written signs and honor-system farm stands. Belfast, Camden, Rockport, the whole Midcoast moves at a speed your nervous system remembers.

You’re not nostalgic for the 90s. You’re nostalgic for having a Saturday.

Relocating to Maine from Boston or New York is a bigger life change on paper than it is in practice. Most people tell me the hardest part was deciding.

Nobody moves to the coast of Maine because a spreadsheet told them to.

Some people start their day with a commute. Here, we start it with the tide.

This morning the water was so still it looked like glass, and the only sound was the surrounding nature. No traffic. No noise. Just salt air and that soft gold light Maine does better than anywhere.

People ask me all the time what made me fall for the Midcoast. Honestly, it’s mornings like this one. You don’t get used to it. You just get grateful for it.

The harbor light, the quiet streets, the homes built by people who expected them to last. It simply exists, beautifully, and waits to be found. You’ve been asking where. My client is 3,000 miles away. The house is not.

This is what a showing looks like when your buyer is across the country and the right waterfront property just hit the market in Midcoast Maine.

I walk the whole thing live. The water view from every window. The basement nobody puts in the listing photos. The road noise, or lack of it. The dock at low tide, because that part matters more than the photos let on.

Out of state buyers ask me all the time if remote showings actually work. I do them regularly, including waterfront, and several of my clients bought their Maine home this way before ever setting foot in it.
