On this occasion of gratitude, we want to reach out with a big THANK YOU! 🦃🎄
Managing Whispering Pines takes more than the four of us to run. As we close the books from another exciting season, we want to personally thank the individuals, businesses and family who made this season possible and another great success!
We must start with a special shout out to Clean & Simple housekeeping; Ariel and her team have earned 5-star reviews for cleanliness beyond our five seasons now! Gary Foss, Rome Fire Dept., kept our road clear of snow to allow us access for early work last Spring and advised on controlled burns; many thanks to Eli with Nystrom Excavating keeping our forest healthy with select cutting through late winter months. Steven and Chad with S & C Contracting managed our property, grooming which flourished thanks to treatments by Turf Doctors; MacKenzies Landscaping delivered our mulch & crushed stone.
We were extremely pleased with our new carpet, bedding & upholstery cleaners. We switched to Advanced 1 Cleaning from Waterville for our annual sanitation.
Fire pit sand was handled by Carroll Bubar. With the help of Jake Burton, Carroll cut up, chipped and burned our daunting piles of tree debris from the woods, fixed our golf cart, our tractor, did landscaping finishing touches on new outdoor shower, handled our”bee situation” and much more – they just kept showing up at the right time for us; In addition to trash pick up, Mike Burnham consistently helped with lumber, ice removal and some pretty scrumptious desserts!
Alan with LaBelle Plumbing opened the camps up for the season with fresh well-water possible in our camps for the first time in our fifty-eight years on Great Pond; This year, we also enjoyed working with Erik at Nilson HVAC/Plumbing as we upgraded to on-demand hot water systems and new bathroom plumbing for all the camps. We were once again blessed to work with our longtime friend and Brazilian contractor, Paul Dias. He spent weeks tackling new floors in all the camps, windows then hitting a monumental task list.
We always appreciate Day’s Store for consistently providing access to Paula’s famous Whoopie Pies (for our guest baskets); our friend Greg Nadeau filled in on any odd job we could throw at him.
Huge kudos go to Brent Owens & Zack Mullen (and friends) who reinforced our shoreline, rebuilt our beach access, painted decks, handled the red squirrel “situation” and a long task list🌲
Looking back at some of the memories and project photos from this past season, we have a strong sense of gratitude for the collaborative effort that kept Whispering Pines thriving! Reflecting on shared laughter and love truly highlights the importance of acknowledging the support from not just a few but many family, friends and local businesses.
🙏🏾In Gratitude to all of you who added your own magic to Whispering Pines 🦃
Many blessings and Happy Thanksgiving!
