We’re looking forward to seeing everyone at tomorrow’s Annual Meeting. 🎉
We also want to take a moment to help clarify the voting process for the proposed transition of Fiber by Central Florida and hopefully make things go as smoothly as possible for everyone.
We understand that some members are frustrated by the requirement that the member of record must be present in person to vote. We hear you, and we know that’s not always convenient.
This requirement isn’t something set just for this meeting—it’s part of the cooperative’s bylaws that govern how all official business and voting must be conducted. These guidelines are in place to ensure that votes are verified, fair, and accurately tied to each membership.
Important Reminders for Registration & Voting:
➡️ Only the member of record on the account is eligible to vote
➡️ Voting must take place in person at the Annual Meeting
➡️ Registration opens at 8:00 a.m. and closes at 10:00 a.m. when the business meeting begins
➡️ Members must be registered by 10:00 a.m. in order to participate in the vote
At registration, eligible members will receive a voting indicator that will be used during the voting process.
When it’s time to vote, members will be asked to:
1. First indicate those in favor
2. Then indicate those opposed
If the outcome is not clearly determined, the vote may be repeated and a more precise count will be conducted.
Members will have the opportunity to ask questions prior to the vote. If you would like to speak or ask a question during the business meeting:
➡️ Please visit the sign-in table located to the right of the main stage
➡️ All speakers are required to complete a member comment card before the meeting begins
We know this is an important decision, and we truly appreciate everyone who is taking the time to attend and participate.
Our team will be there to help guide you through the process—thank you in advance for your patience and cooperation as we work to make the morning as smooth and organized as possible.
