I recently switched to Allstae Insurance for my Heights house. I was very pleased with their handling of my hurricane damge claim. I am certainly glad I no longer have Progressive.

It’s a move that seems to benefit the insurance giant, but the realtor who spoke to KPRC 2′s Deven Clarke expects it to have a major impact on the local buyers’ market.

With inflation rate coming down, (not under control, just coming down, last year's $120 grocery cart isHistoric note: still $180) maybe there is a glimmer of hope for the Feds to drop interest rates. Maybe this curve will trend down.
I bought my first house long ago at 12% interest. Prices were MUCH cheaper back then, but my income was much lower too. I don't know which was more painful, back then, or now. I feel that today is probably worse.

Thai Spice is one of my favorite lunch spots in the Heights. I also go to the FedX store next door. The "Scan to Pay" parking signs pi**ed me off. I'm glad the shop owners are unhappy too. Maybe this dollar grab will not happen after all.

Finally, another ferry boat added to TX DOT's Galveston fleet!
I used to take the ferry between Galveston and Bolivar all the time. Now that I have a beach house on Galveston, not so much. I do take my Grandson, Zach though. He, like veryone else loves this free boat ride.
Dolphin sitings are almost guaranteed, plus lots of commercial vessels going into and out of Houston/Galvesto ports.
