Four years ago, I got my real estate license.

Today, RealTrends ranked me #29 in South Dakota and #23,993 in the United States out of more than 2 million agents nationwide and over 2,200 in SD.

Not bad for a small town girl from Belle Fourche. ❤️

What most people don't see are the late nights, weekends, continuing education, marketing classes, contracts, negotiations, mistakes, and lessons learned along the way.

Real estate school gives you a license. It doesn't teach you how to market a home, negotiate a deal, solve problems, or run a successful business.

Those skills come from experience, education, and great mentorship.

One thing I've learned is that new agents need real mentorship, not just recruiting. Too many agents are promised leads and success, only to discover later they weren't given the hands on guidance needed to build a lasting career.

My background in marketing, banking, bookkeeping, and business ownership gave me a head start, but none of this would have been possible without my clients, friends, family, and referral partners.

🤫 Newell has been keeping secrets…

We recently stopped into The Hitch’n Post Market in Newell and let’s just say we were pleasantly surprised. If you’re heading to Newell and usually grab food from a gas station like we do, you might want to make a different stop next time.

Not only do they carry some amazing brands and products with cleaner ingredients, but their deli was a total game changer. We grabbed lunch on the go and it was SO much better than the typical road trip food we usually settle for.

And can we talk about the macaroni salad for a minute? It was hands down a fan favorite and disappeared fast leaving us all asking for more.

Small town stores like this are one of the many things that make our communities special. Great food, unique products, friendly people, and a reason to shop local.
