Small Town Spotlight | Belle Plaine 💛🤎
🍔 We started at The NoWhere Grill - in what many would know as the old Pizza Hut building. You wouldn’t believe the transformation Kelly and Matt Lyons have made to this building. A place of gathering, monthly/weekly events, amazing food + drinks, live bands, outdoor seating… the perfect small town spot. People travel from all over to visit the NoWhere Grill! A staple in our community 🩷
🥩 Next stop was Ellis Island Farms - a place with something for EVERYONE. Many don’t know that you can find local meat, produce, ice cream, teas, candles… all from local individual business owners in the area. Michelle has created a store front that Belle Plaine desperately needed. There’s candy and toys for the kids, fully prepared homemade freezer meals for the busy families, nontoxic candles and so much more. 🙌🏻
🥪 We didn’t get to stop by Mystic Kitchen, but still are giving her a shout out as this is another amazing homemade food grab n’ go option. She home-makes lunch and desserts. If you’ve tried her food, then you already know how valuable this is for our small community! Such yummy options! 😋
👛 I bet you didn’t know Belle Plaine has a boutique?! KanSassys — right next to the Belle Plaine Historical Museum. A newer business with incredible owners. Think women’s clothing, baby clothing, baby shower gifts, Bibles with beautiful cover options, jewelry, gifts, coffee mugs and more. An amazing addition to Belle Plaine, we can’t wait to shop here more! 🥰
🛋️ Kami at Reimagined opened for us to come visit as well! From Belle Plaine and Chiefs gear, to vintage treasures and antique furniture… this place is so fun! They have something for everyone 💕
🐄 Lastly, a tour of Homegrown Acres. A 40 acre regenerative farm outside of Belle Plaine. They have 3 dairy cows, chickens, horses, and a hardworking family to make all of the organic goodies that we get to enjoy. They have eggs, homemade sourdough with numerous flavors, sourdough cookies, cinnamon rolls… all the goods! Head to their website to order! 🥛🥚
A day well spent ❤️ We had so much fun and can’t wait to do this next month in Mulvane!
