From May 1st through October 31st, our local shores become a vital sanctuary for endangered sea turtles, especially our native Loggerheads. With only 1 in 1,000 hatchlings reaching adulthood, every single action we take on the sand makes a difference!

Help us protect these vital lives by following the β€œClean, Dark, Flat” rule:

✨ KEEP IT CLEAN: Leave nothing but footprints! πŸ‘£ Pack out all your trash, including food scraps and fishing line, to keep our coast clean. 🌊 Swap disposables for reusables and keep your gear high above the tide line so it doesn't wash away. If you see stray litter or balloons, grab them! They look like a meal to a hungry sea turtle. 🐒🎈 Done with your beach toys? Drop them in a public toy box for the next kids to enjoy! πŸ–οΈβœ¨

πŸŒ‘ KEEP IT DARK: To avoid disturbing the nesting process, please refrain from using flashlights, drones with lights, or flash photography at night. πŸ“ΈπŸš« Use beachfront lighting that is low, long-wavelength (amber or red), and shielded.
