On average, it’s about 52 days from listing to closing.

That might feel slower compared to the rush we saw a few years ago, but honestly, this is much closer to a normal, healthy market. Things are just more balanced now.

And here’s the part sellers like to hear—well-priced homes that are presented well are still moving faster than that average. Some are getting offers in just days.

"I'd love to buy a home someday. I'm just not sure if I'm ready."

And honestly, that's fair.

But what surprises a lot of people is that waiting isn't always the safer option. Every year that passes is another year of rent payments, rising prices, and missed opportunities to start building equity of your own.

That's one of the reasons so many people eventually decide they want to own a home.

Every month, you're paying for housing either way. The difference is that when you own, a portion of that payment goes toward something that's yours. Year after year, that can add up.
