Buying the right home is not just about finding something that looks good online, it’s about understanding the value behind the purchase.

I met these two amazing buyers when they were originally looking at a condo on Mercer Island. After doing deeper research, I shared with them that I didn’t believe it was the best investment for their goals. So we kept looking.

From there, we found the perfect home in Seattle, a great deal, walkable to parks, restaurants, and even UW. More importantly, it was a home that made sense financially and gave them equity the moment they stepped through the door.

It was such a pleasure helping guide them through the process and making sure they felt informed, protected, and confident every step of the way.

As someone who’s lived in Washington my whole life… here are the little things that tell us you’re new here.

But don’t worry, we all had to learn the Washington way eventually.

Around here, we know:

You don’t need an umbrella every time it rains.
Traffic is a lifestyle.

“The Eastside” is not Eastern Washington.

And yes… summer doesn’t really start until after July 4th.

Did you know…

If you buy a home in May, your first mortgage payment may not be due until July 1st.

That means you could move in and enjoy your new home with no mortgage payment in June.

It’s not “free” forever, you’ll usually pay prepaid interest at closing but it can give buyers a little breathing room after moving.
