It's hard to believe that another year has gone by and it has certainly been an interesting one. Not only are we all dealing with a pandemic, but those of us up in the Pacific Northwest have been dealing with some crazy weather. I am sure where ever you live, it has been far from normal. We have seen some of the hottest days recorded in 151 years, the rainiest Fall ever and the coldest recorded day in 31 years.

But with the extremes we have seen, we have also seen some or the most beautiful days, amazing sunsets, quiet snow covered mornings and a chance to spend valuable time with family and friends.

Personally I have been busy learning the ropes of my new real estate career by completing the Keller Williams Ignite program, cutting my teeth by hosting Open Houses for fellow agents and listing and selling our condo at Hyak in Snoqualmie Pass. I have also been helping out at the Mercer Island schools as a substitute teacher.

I am looking forward to seeing and catching up with all of you this year and who knows, you may even get a phone call from me (weird, right?). Also, don't hesitate to reach out if you have real estate questions and send any of your friends and family my way if they need real estate help.

I am happy to announce my very first listing as a Real Estate broker.

Truth be told, this is a condo that my wife and I own and have enjoyed for 7 years. We loved waking up on the mountain, drinking our coffee and skiing right to the Snoqualmie East lift. We will miss it.

Real Estate is a entrepreneurial business. I've worked at large companies and small startups, but I always try to bring with me an entrepreneurial attitude. Fail fast, learn and pivot if it's not working. My listening list has almost 30 books by authors like Tim Ferris to Robert Kiyosaki, Seth Godin, Michael Ge**er, Clayton M. Christensen and Eric Ries.

Check out the before and after pictures of a bathroom remodel I did in our downstairs. I took it to the studs, moved a wall, re-plumbed, heated floors, installed the shower basin, installed all the tile on the floor and in the shower.

I have experience remodeling bathrooms, bedrooms, living spaces, etc. It's something I find both challenging and rewarding. You get to learn new things with every project and then the fruits of your labor.

What do you do for fun? Can you combine the things you do for fun with learning something new or improving on something you already know?

For me its music and golf.
1) I am always looking for something to motivate and push my trumpet playing. I’m currently working in a 6 part trumpet version of Bohemian Rhapsody, by Queen.
2) Our local band MIMX plays a few times a year
3) I started to learn guitar. I’ve found consistency is the key to success. Practice a little bit everyday
4) Golf is very technical. You have to put in the win to improve and have the patience to work on the small things.

This is a t-shirt my wife bought me for Christmas. It isn't completely true, there are a lot of things I can't fix, but it represents my mind set. I’m a handyman at heart, give me a list of things to fix and I’m on it.

As a real estate professional, I bring the knowledge and experience of remodling, design and general maintenance and upkeep.
