As accurately predicted 3 years ago, rates are currently hovering at around 6 percent AND home prices simultaneously went up and continue to climb. The idea that rates are going to suddenly make a nonsensical plummet is exactly that, nonsense. Created by media and financial analysts to scare away those that aren’t smart enough to understand the value in owning real estate or are scared to commit because of rates.. if you look at every capitalist, tycoon, aristocrat or exponentially wealthy person, (choose whatever term best fits your definition) real estate is a huge part of their portfolio. If for some unforeseen reason rates take a plunge, that’s when you refinance but waiting is not the answer because as you can see the prices are climbing. The key to buying real estate is buying smartly and there are still good buys if you are strategic.
