He grew up in Oregon in a family of remodelers, contractors, electricians, and skilled tradesmen. Many of his early memories were playing and later working at building sites as a teenager. In fact, many times he would only be excused from helping out on the current project in order to practice the piano. In 1996, after completing his master’s degree while teaching music at Washington State Univers

ity, Benjamin moved to Seattle and Bellevue, where he worked in piano retail sales, service administration, and mortgage brokering. He has been following his passion since 2004, which is teaching piano and doing real estate sales. Benjamin's background and extensive knowledge of remodeling, the mortgage process, and the negotiation process have helped all of his clients to make wise decisions about which home to buy and fix up, and which ones to avoid. For sellers, Benjamin works closely with them for weeks in advance to help them make wise decisions about which projects should be done to attract buyers, and which projects do not make sense to do.
