Some homes are purchased…others become part of a family’s legacy.
This one is the beginning of something truly special.
When this family walked into my open house, something shifted.
Martin and I had actually considered purchasing this property as an investment, so I knew every inch of it. By then, we had already decided it wasn’t the right investment for us.
Then I met the future owners, a mother and her adult son.
As I listened to their story and what they hoped to build for their family, I remember thinking, this was never meant to be our investment. I believe we were simply meant to help prepare it for them. I just didn’t know it yet.
This isn’t simply about purchasing a house. It’s about creating a place where a family can build stability, support a family member with special needs, and create a legacy for generations to come.
It also reminded me of my own journey.
There was a time when I was a single mom who never imagined homeownership was possible. After years as a stay-at-home mom, qualifying for a loan wasn’t easy. I was only able to purchase my first home because people believed in me, supported me, and helped bridge the gap when I couldn’t do it alone.
Those experiences shaped the Realtor I am today. They taught me that homeownership is about so much more than real estate. It’s about hope, security, and creating a future, especially when the right people come alongside you at the right time.
We’re officially pending, but this is only the beginning. There are still important milestones ahead before this family receives the keys, and I’ll be walking alongside them every step of the way.
