2018 foresee increases of property tax in most cities due to the value of the estate

Countywide, the 2018 property tax bills being sent out soon will be 17 percent higher on average than last year's. A spokesman for the assessor says it's "the largest property-tax increase in King County in modern history."

The share of real estate sales claimed by first-time homebuyers reached 35 percent in the National Association of Realtors' most recent Profile of Home Buyers and Sellers. That represents the highest level since 2013 and an upswing from 2015's 30-year first-time buyer low (32 percent).
