I’ve sold some houses in my career but perhaps my largest and most meaningful accomplishment occurred today when I hiked the Sehome arboretum and came upon a lost chicken, so I scaled the hillside to rescue it and it turned out to be one of my fellow realtors’ pets 😂

Jumping on the bandwagon…of 2016! The year I left my career in marketing/communications (at the time, a steady government salary) to start a real estate business, while raising two little girls and remodeling a mid century time capsule. A crazy and exciting time…the stakes felt really high. I was grinding sooo hard in this phase. 😳😴

Fast forward to now, almost nothing looks the same. My girls are in middle and high school. I’m no longer married. I’m no longer with Coldwell Banker, I started the Bellingham Compass office w/ a couple of trusted buddies. My business is happy, healthy & ticking along. Oh actually, I’m still remodeling horrible bathrooms! Might be a lifelong plight. 🤣

When I look back to age 36 I see a young woman full of ideas and ambition. Craving a truer sense of home. And now, I’ve made a lot of it happen, and I feel more grounded in myself, my work, and the world around me. I wonder what 2036 will look like. I hope for continued health for myself and my family. I hope I’m straight chilling in a clean & organized home environment with no impending major improvement projects.😎 I hope my garden continues to inspire me, and if not, I hope it’s replaced with something equally as low key thrilling. I hope I’m spending a minimum of 1 month per year in Portugal (possibly the best place on earth) or somewhere just as amazing. And, I hope to feel even MORE settled in myself and in the world. 🙏🏻🌎🧘🏼‍♀️
