11 years ago my wife and I ran the Columbia River Gorge Marathon together. I wasn't prepared for the 1000 feet of elevation, and probably hated every stride of that race. I fell out of love with running that day, and took an 9 year break from running.
Two years ago I decided to start running again. Since then Ive run the Boston Marathon, Chicago Marathon, Toyko Marathon, a bunch of local races, and will head to the NYC Marathon for the 3rd year in a row next week.
Yesterday, we decided to go back to that race from 11 years ago and take on that challenge. The greatest part of this running journey has been running so many of these races with my BEAUTIFUL wife.
Two weeks ago she did the Portland Marathon. Yesterday she did the Columbia River Gorge Half Marathon with me. And on November 3rd she'll run her second NYC Marathon with me. AMAZING.
It's been awesome to do this together...and the NYC Marathon each year has been a way for us to raise money for the Sloan Kettering Cancer Center...
This year, Ill be personally matching every dollar our social community donates...regardless of what that number is.
I know there is a lot of charity need in the world right now. Please don't feel pressure to donate..AND if you feel like it, we'd love for you to support in any way you can.
The link to donate is in the comments. THANK YOU in advance.
