My parents charge me $500 a month, which is $6,000 a year. After 4 years, that’s $24,000 that can go right back toward my first home.

Today we’re talking about realtor commissions, but honestly, this goes for anyone who provides a service.

If you do a good, honest job and you work hard for your clients, charge what you’re worth. Don’t lower your value just because you’re scared of losing the deal or think charging less will get you the business.

Do good work. Stand behind what you charge. Know your worth — and the right clients will see the value in what you bring to the table.
