What was once an old bocce court is now a thriving community garden!

We're excited to see the garden starting to flourish as residents grow vegetables, herbs, and flowers throughout the season. It's been wonderful watching this space transform into something that brings our community together.

The Ohio Valley's own John Rataiczak is a finalist for the 2026 American Stroke Association Voters' Choice Hero!

When his wife, Melissa, showed F.A.S.T. signs — facial drooping, arm weakness and slurred speech — at a picnic, John acted fast. Drawing on 30 years of American Heart Association volunteerism, he recognized the signs of a stroke and rushed her to the hospital. That speed helped ensure timely, lifesaving care and a strong recovery. John was prepared and steady; he was the hero Melissa needed when every second counted. Now, the couple shares their story through outreach, reminding others that knowing the warning signs changes lives.
