Interest rates are reaching a nearly 30 year high! I understand purchasing at these levels may seem foolish. However, buying when rates are high could be an incredible opportunity to gain equity. Refer to graphic 2 on this post to see why:

This period of quantitative tightening by the FED will not last forever. Once we enter quantitative easing and rates go down, prices will skyrocket to keep up with demand. Meaning—if you were to purchase when rates were high, you would’ve capitalized on equity when others were fearful in the market. The best part? You can always refinance if the rates go down—simultaneously gaining equity and not having to wait for rates to go down on the home you want today!

I’m feeling very bittersweet today as yesterday the last home in Breckenridge closed. I’ve been selling in Breckenridge for over two years now, and I’m so grateful to have been able to help so many families become homeowners. I’m also grateful to Mungo Homes for the opportunity to allow me to do so. I have befriended many of the Breckenridge homeowners, so a big thank you to all of you that allowed me to assist you with your home search! I’m excited to build new relationships in my new community, Suter Estates.
