Frequently Asked Questions About Govee Permanent Lights
Here are some of the questions we get asked the most:
💡 How long do they last?
It’s hard to give an exact lifespan, but we’ve had very few issues. Most service calls have actually been due to squirrels or other critters chewing wires, or severe storms knocking the lights offline. In most cases, it’s a quick repair and we’re back to having your lights working again.
💡 Can you see the wires?
The answer is very little, if any at all. We use a channeling system and carefully route the wiring behind your home’s vinyl siding whenever possible, giving your installation a clean, professional appearance.
💡 What if a light goes out?
No worries! Govee Pro lights include a 3-year manufacturer’s warranty. We simply contact Govee, and replacement sections typically arrive within a couple of days for installation.
💡 Does RJS Property ProZ provide a warranty on the installation?
Yes! We stand behind our workmanship with a 1-year installation warranty. If any wiring comes loose, a mount pulls away, or our channeling needs attention due to the installation, we’ll come back and take care of it.
💡 Do I have to replace the entire system if one light goes out?
Not at all. The lights are installed in 16-foot sections, so only the affected section needs to be replaced. Most replacements take us about an hour.
💡 What happens after the warranty expires?
It’s still an easy fix. Govee sells individual 16-foot replacement sections for under $100, so you don’t have to replace your entire lighting system.
💡 How much does it cost?
This is our most common question, and the answer is that every home is different. The size, layout, and height of your home all affect the price. Some homes may even require a boom lift. The good news is we work with a wide range of budgets. Many customers choose to install the front of their home first, then add the sides and back the following years. The Govee system is expandable, so it’s easy to build on your investment over time.
💡 Will Govee Permanent Lights increase my electric bill?
Not by much! Govee Permanent Lights are low-voltage and energy-efficient, so the impact on your electric bill is minimal.
You may notice a small increase depending on how often you use them, but for most homeowners, the added cost is very low
